Wroxham Base

Base manager Edwin Harper welcomes you to Wroxham. The tranquil Norfolk Broads has over 120 miles of lock-free cruising on unspoilt English waterways. The Broads connected by canals and natural rivers were created when the sea level rose 700 years ago, filling up medieval peat pits. The area’s flat, so a boat sailing on another river in the distance can look like it’s moving through the fields!

LATE ARRIVALS

There will be a note on the office door with your name and boat number on. You will then have to call the engineer on call , who will give you further instructions, and then come to see you the following morning.

FISHING

Fishing is allowed but the close season is between 15 th March – 15 th June. A Fishing Licence is required and is available from any main or sub post office, it is recommended that you obtain your licence before you leave home. Cost is approximately £6.50 for a licence covering 8 days (children under 12 do not require a licence).
