We travelled with another couple from Australia. We were in Scotland for our sons wedding. We do a lot of boating in Australia and decided it would be great to cruise the Caledonian canal for a week. We had a wonderful time and would love to do this again sometime.
The boat was very user friendly and the open plan made it a nice place to keep warm in the bad weather.. The diesel heater was a real treat. The boat was easy to handle. this size boat is deifinetely suited to 4 people. We were a bit surprised that the lifejackets were the only safety equipment. Perhaps some flares or a v sheet would be a good edition.

The people were wonderful all the lock keepers and the bridge keepers , and especially Andy, Tom and Sheila from West Highland sailing, they were all just great.
Very comfortable

Great boat easy to handle, great base for visiting the wine areas
Boat excellent from a safety point of view and could do with side thrusters to make it more manoeuvrable but this is the third time we have had this boat and feel very comfortable with it. The linen could be of a better quality and also the pillows were cheap and nasty

Lovely postcard moment viewing Windsor Castle and the royal swans....great fishing haul with fresh perch for dinner one night....charming pubs...friendly people.....
Horrible!!! Driver's windshield wiper didn't work - in England! The toilet system was terrible, the boat was dirty when we got it, the linoleum was all up in the salon. The fridge was replaced with a TINY fridge that held about four drinks and didn't stay cold. This was my eighth trip with Le Boat and I have loved them all, but I am now going to shop around for upcoming trips. I love the canal vacations, but the boats have been pretty marginal in the last few years. This one was simply abysmal.

We spent five days on the Caledonian canal. It was a very enjoyable experience. Loch Ness is breathtaking. Fort Augustus was memorable. Loch Oich is shallow but tranquil.
The boat was excellent. Albeit, I could not work out if it has air cooling or not.
