Reviews for the Salsa A
A lovely leisurely week-end spent in a lovely part of France. Cycling sometimes along the paths while the boat cruised on to the next lock was lovely. Lots of help and chat from people on the other boats.
The boat was excellent, there were 8 of us. I think if we had 10 people it would have been too crowded.
Its just the whole week that will be remembered in all details: cruising, biking, shopping, swimming in the Ocean, visiting most all villages along the way including their markets, old Churches or Castles and eating very well in local restaurants and enjoying the beautiful French wines (yum). All possible due to very nice weather.
Very well enjoyed all of it and very positively surprised about the space!! (first time boaters and on a cruise like this) Well, we planned for a total of 6 adults and then were 5. So this is a very nice Boat size (total of 10) for 5!! We could imagine that 10 would be making it very crowded!
This was our fourth cruise with Le Boat. Our family, who were with us on the first cruise on the Midi and Aquitaine canals, some 14 year's ago, were the same group, only the young children are now adults. As our skipper is an experienced driver, we chose The Lot River this time, and it was a geat experience. The weather was hot, the river was clean and cool for swimming, the locks kept everyone fit, and the scenery was spectacular.
The Salsa was a lovely boat, roomy enough and comfortable for us eight adults. Our only complaint is that as it was hot, the two double cabins lacked ventilation each with only a small sliding window.
It was very beautiful
Very good, place to move for 7 persons was OK
we started from Trebes on a friday ( which might have been the only negative to the trip) as all shops close early on Sat and dont open until Monday so missed out on a lot of the towns sights as everthing was closed so we traveled too quickly on the higher part of the canal. we loved the little towns, loved the wine (did not find a bad french wine) the markets in the little towns were an experience. we all enjoyed cycling even though we had not done it for years> it is a most relaxing and fun holiday to be done with good friends or family
we cruised on a Salsa with 7 Adults and did not fine it squashed at all. the upper deck was so social and comfortable and the downstairs living are very spacious and the kitchen was very easy to work in, we would definitely hire the same boat again,
