Reviews for the The Willow Tree Short Break
We had a great time. Plenty of things to see and very picturesque in places.
We went down to Oxford first day, then we turned and went back to Henly - on - Thames. Stopped over at nights at the many pubs on route for our evening meals. Locks were maintained very well and had lots of helpful lockkeepers on duty.
Weekend break from Benson. The second time we have done this trip. We pottered about up stream and down stoping here and there for refreshments and bank side BBQs. It's a beautiful stretch of water and the boat and service more than met expectations. The most memorable events are not for public consumption - but no laws were broken or animals harmed in the making of the trip.
Second run out from Benson. Henley, Marlow, Pangbourne, Wallingford and Abingdon visited at some point stage along with various fields along the way. All have something to offer - Abingdon the least to commend it. Take a BBQ find a field and fill your boots. River swimming further upstream a treat if somewhat risky. Fishing and just enjoying the world slipping by.
