Reviews for the The Midi-Robine Cruise
We were a party of 12 similar aged friends, 2 boats. One couple had been boating on the canal du Midi previously. We expected a relaxing holiday with lots of interesting places along the way.
We were surprised by the lack of substantial places along the way. The few we did stay in were small and mostly closed. We struggled to find open restaurants, cafes and shops. Homps was an exception and Narbonne on the last day was sizable.
Wonderful area great boat
Already put on trip advisor
Arrived in Toulousse, train to Carcasonne then taxi to Trèbes at LeBoat base. Prepared the boat, went grocery shopping, wine shopping and short course to drive the vessel. Had no bikes for us (we had reserved in advance...), they offered us a taxi to and from Carcasonne to visit the medieval fortifications instead. Next day was off exploring the Midi and Robine Canals, all the way to the Mediterranean... 7 days of pure relaxation and fun!
All along the canal, stop and explore the villages, taste the wine, enjoy the scenery. Every small place is worht a look. Talk to the fine people of Le Midi... They are all nice!
