Similar to hiring a car, your boat is supplied with a full tank of diesel and you pay for the fuel you use (normally, you won't need to refuel en-route).
In France, Italy, Germany, Belgium and Holland, our charges are based on an "engine hour" - i.e. how long the engine runs for. In the UK and Ireland, we charge by the litre. Please note, fuel is an additional cost that you pay in local currency. Because of this, the cost is subject to change.
Before departure, you will be required to leave a fuel deposit towards the cost of the fuel for your cruise. At the end of the vacation you will either be refunded the excess or be asked to pay any additional costs as required. Fuel deposit tarifs are based on your boat's engine size.
Collision Damage Waiver
To insure the boat during the cruise for potential damage to the boat or third-party. We have two options:
- Option 1: Non-refundable CDW
All customers will pay a damage deposit upon collection of their boat and will be liable for loss or damage up to the amount collected. The amount of deposit required, and thus your liability, may be significantly reduced to between £240 - £800 / €300 - €1,000 by purchasing a non-refundable Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) which can be added in advance, as a cost, to your booking. The daily rate is £12 - £34 / €15 - €43 depending on your boat type and destination.
- Option 2: Refundable Collision Damage Deposit
If you choose not to pay our non-refundable CDW, you must pay a refundable damage deposit of between £1,600- £2,600 / €2,000 - €3,250 instead. This is payable on arrival at the base and will only be retained if the boat or any of its equipment or inventory is returned damaged or lost, or in the case of any accidental damage to third parties.
