Summer events planned at Thorpe Park

Monday 22 June 2009

Families enjoying boating holidays on the River Thames could head to Thorpe Park to enjoy the summer festivities being planned over the next few months.

The attraction - which is home to the new SAW ride - is hosting various events aimed at children and adults alike to see families through the school holidays.

Every weekend in August, musical acts will be staging performances in the park to entertain visitors as they take a break from the roller coasters.

Quiz fans can also take part in Thorpe Park's very own game show What's The Worst That Could Happen? in the hope of winning a fantastic prize.

Those heading to the park between August 19th and 23rd will be able to find out more about the latest video games when EA visits the park.

Then between 22nd and 31st the Moto-X stunt show will be taking place, wowing onlookers with some exciting aerial tricks.

Families can visit Thorpe Park during a boating holiday on the River Thames. Cruises are available from the bases at Benson and Chertsey.

As well as the new SAW ride, the attraction is also home to rides such as Stealth, Nemesis Inferno and Rumba Rapids.
