From now until the end of August, themed walks will be taking place every Saturday and Sunday, as well as a few other dates.
They will depart from the Royal Windsor Information Centre and will be led by professional Blue Badge guides.
Each walk will last one hour and will be based on one of several themes, including Henry VIII in Windsor, Royal Windsor and Victorian Windsor.
There will also be tours of Eton Town and Riverside, as well as a U-Spy Children's Tour on Saturday July 11th.
For those who would rather explore Windsor at their own pace, there are a number of popular walking routes in the area.
In its Go Walk section, the Guardian recommends the route along the Long Walk in the Great Park to the King George III statue and back again.
Tourists should then head through the town to the river bank and across the water to Eton, it advises.
Boating holidays on the River Thames are available from the cruise bases at Benson and Chertsey.
