Houses of Parliament annual summer opening for Thames boating enthusiasts

Brits on a Thames boating holiday might like to visit the Houses of Parliament as they will be opening to the public in August.

Taking place on various dates throughout the month, the houses consists off more 1,200 private rooms, as well as the many official chambers where British laws are made and scrutinised - all of which will be open for a short period.

Pre-booking tickets is advised as this often a popular attraction and entry will cost £14 for adults, £9 for concessions and £6 for children. The first open day will take place on August 2nd.

Tours are available in a range of languages, including English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.

Elsewhere in the capital, the Great British Beer Festival is taking place from August 3rd to 7th at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre.

Guests will be able take part in to pub quizzes, enjoy live music, food sampling and many more traditional British pub activities, while also partaking of a wide range of alcoholic beverages.
