Embark on an adventure in Burgundy

Wednesday 10 June 2009

A visit to Dijon in the Burgundy region of France this October could instil a sense of adventure in the hearts of many tourists.

From 16th to 18th, an adventure film festival called Les Ecrans de L'Aventure de Dijon will be taking place at the Auditorium de Dijon.

Over three days, numerous films and documentaries following the activities of world famous adventurers will be shown.

They will feature around the world sailing trips, daring balloon flights, deep sea diving attempts and Antarctic expeditions.

Visitors may even get the chance to meet some of the intrepid individuals seen in the films and talk to them about their experiences.

Families can moor up in Dijon during a boating holiday in Burgundy. Cruises are available from the bases at Branges, Gray, Fontenoy le Chateau and St Jean de Losne.

Inspired by the films they have seen in Dijon, holidaymakers could indulge their sense of adventure and explore the rest of the region, perhaps visiting the historic city of Auxonne or the market town of Louhans.
