Natural festival for Burgundy boating enthusiasts

Wednesday 28 July 2010

Taking place on August 15th, fans of getting back to nature might like to make a stop while on a Burgundy boating holiday to visit the Fete de la Foret Sauvage in Le Parc de Boutissaint.

What's On When reported that more than 400 bison, wild boar, deer and other rare species can be found in the park and the wardens will be showcasing hunting demonstrations throughout the day - although it is stressed that no animals will be harmed.

Tickets cost €10 (£8.31) for adults and under-tens can get in for free. The park is open on the day from 08:00 to 19:00 local time.

Elsewhere, the Chalon dans la Rue street theatre festival recently took place in Chalon-sur-Saone, where actors, acrobats and musicians all performed in the town's streets.

The festivities took place over five days between July 21st and 25th and party-goers were free to head along to shows for no charge.
