Families enjoying boating holidays in Germany this summer can visit Berlin to see how the work is progressing.
Artists will be painting the East Side Gallery, which is said to be the largest open-air art gallery in the world.
Some will be the original artists who decorated the wall in the 1990s and many more have agreed to take part in the restoration.
Kani Alavi, head of the East Side Gallery Artists' Initiative, told the BBC that iconic paintings, such as the image of the Trabant car crashing through the wall, must be recreated.
"People will then be able to feel the euphoria of that time when the wall came tumbling down 20 years ago and see how artists left their mark in 1990," he remarked.
Families can visit Berlin during a boating holiday in Germany, departing from the cruise bases at Potsdam or Marina Wolfsbruch.
Writing for Examiner.com recently, journalist Sharon Holton-Schmitt included Berlin in a list of five hot European cities to travel to this summer.
