The annual Castles Night sees the city's Baroque castles shrouded in atmospheric lighting to show off their unique architectural features.
Holidaymakers visiting Potsdam during the evening can enter the buildings - including Sanssouci Castle - which stay open late.
By night, they can enjoy the spectacular views while enjoying the classical music concerts, cabaret and fireworks displays that will be taking place across the city.
