According to the official website of the city, there are daily music sessions at the Hootananny Inverness on Church Street, while the Ironworks on Academy Street hosts live music and comedy almost daily.
Every Tuesday during July and August, evening pipe band performances will take place on High Street, providing some true Scottish entertainment for tourists and local residents.
Also on Tuesdays, Nico's Bar in Ness Bank is home to some traditional jazz, while later in the week, on Thursdays, informal music sessions are held at the Clachnaharry Inn.
Those who enjoyed the pipe music on Tuesday can head to Beauly Square for a performance by Beauly Firth & Glens Pipe Band on Thursday evening.
Finally, for fans of piano music, there are live sessions at the Piano Bat in the Glenmoriston Hotel.
And of course the sound of bagpipes will be filling the air at this year's Inverness Tattoo, which will take place from July 27th to August 1st at the Northern Meeting Park and could be a great day out for those visiting Scotland during this time.
