Boat holiday will leave you rockin'

Monday 08 February 2010

A boat holiday in Scotland this summer could leave you rocking as yet another big name is added to the Rockness festival bill.

Electronic dance act Leftfield has just announced it is to join the star-studded music event taking place near Loch Ness between June 11th to June 13th.

Joining the likes of Chase and Status, 2 Many DJs, Soulwax and headliners The Strokes, it will be the dance duo's first live gig in ten years.

Festival director Jim King said: "We've been trying to get Leftfield to do some shows for years and now it's actually going to happen.

"I was fortunate to see them live over ten years ago and if you think the Prodigy are loud then you won't know what hit you when Leftfield kick in."

However, if you think the only noise on your boat holiday should be coming from the engine, then there is plenty more to do on the Scottish waterways, with castles, mountains and lakes waiting around every bend.

Rockness is easily reachable from the Caledonian Canal via Drumnadrochit, so holidaymakers this summer may find that it's not just their vessel that's left rockin' on a Scottish boating holiday.ADNFCR-2080-ID-19603092-ADNFCR
