Grand Classique's key features

Grand Classique Interior & saloon

  • The saloon is situated in the center of the boat and by default becomes the main interior common area during boat cruises. A huge dining table that folds down out of the way when not in use and a giant U-shaped settee form the centerpiece.
  • The settee converts to a large double bed. The saloon’s radio/CD player with MP3/USB connectivity is wonderful when relaxing after a day on the water.
  • An inside steering station with good visibility and access to outside decks are other features of the saloon.
  • The big U-shaped kitchen/galley is well designed for preparing gourmet meals. There’s loads of counter space, a large electric refrigerator, ample sink, a stove, and lots of cabinets for storage.
Grand Classique Cabins & bathrooms

  • Two aft (rear) cabins with plenty of natural light from large stern windows feature two single beds each that convert to double beds. Each has an en-suite bathroom with shower, new electric-flush toilet, and sink.
  • Immediately forward of the aft cabins is a smaller central cabin with two single bunk beds that are wonderful for kids.
  • Beyond the grand saloon, you’ll find two additional staterooms, one with a double bed in a spacious private cabin in the bow, and two crossover single bunk beds in a smaller cabin aft. The third bathroom is across from the two forward cabins and includes a shower, new electric-flush toilet, and sink.
Grand Classique Sundeck

  • Sundecks are hugely important features on boat cruises, allowing everyone to relax together outside.
  • The Grand Classique’s sundeck is quite large with lots of seating, a wide umbrella for shade, and a fixed table for alfresco dining and cocktail parties.
  • The second steering station on the sundeck provides excellent visibility. The spacious saloon below the sundeck is easily accessed. There’s ample storage for bicycles.
  • A safe is aboard for your convenience and security. You’ll love the powerful bow thrusters for coming alongside at docks and in locks!
  • The onboard electrical system runs on 12-volt DC power and 220-volt shore power.
  • The Grand Classique is equipped with an efficient and reliable diesel engine.

The Le Boat team were incredibly helpful from start to finish, and couldn't do enough for us! We cruised from Vinkeveen to Utrecht, then up to Amsterdam and back with a few days relaxing in the beautiful countryside. The weather was glorious every day, and when we weren't sunbathing on the top deck we were jumping in the river to cool off. The boat was superbly maintained and had everything we needed to comfortably house 10 of us for a week - even cooking for 10 in the on-board kitchen was a pleasure! Our boat was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

Probably the best family holiday we have ever had. Picking up the boat was easier than I had anticipated, our briefing was excellent and all the staff made sure we left with smiles on our faces. We had a great trip from Boofzheim to Hesse on a great boat Grand Classique. We selebrated 2 birthdays while on the travel and had a great time during 7 days. I will definetely reccommend Le boat company (and actually did this already to everyone who asked about our holiday in Alsace:-) There was not a lot information about canal boating on Russian websites and I communicated with Leboat sales team intensively and got all the answers very quickly. Teams at the starting and finishing points were super professional and very patient and helpful. It was our first trip along canals and we felt a bit nervous. We were explained everything and Leboat people checked if we undersood everything and correct. We had a small technical problem (our falt) and the service team arrived in an hour and the engineer fixed everything very quickly. Great service. Many thanks!! We loved the boat. Every family had a cabin, 3 toilets, fully equipped kitchen. Big boat size- it was comfortable to spend time for 10 adults. We booked some extra things and it was great- grill, bikes, coushons. Total cleaning after the trip was a smart thing to book in advance- I am glad I did this:-). Some times we had self-cooked dinner near the boat taking out the table and chairs to the ground (there was enough room inside the boat as well. It was very good. We were 3 generations - my papents (over 70), 2 adult couples of 45-55 and 4 young people of 23-26. The boat was comfortable for everyone and everyone had its own task and small job during the journey. Its a great idea for family team-building:-)

Staff, staff, staff they were outstanding. At Decize they picked us from the train station. Daniel their mechanic is the kind of employee every business wants. I had a small problem in Nevers. I telephoned on Sunday, he drove up immediately, showed me how stupid I was without a hint of justifiable criticism. I was the fool and wasted his time, I really appreciated this. Handing the boat back at Chatilion was a pleasure. Rail tickets back to Paris were no problem to organise. Taxi was summoned at just the right time. My previous canalling experience in France had okay if standoffish service, none of that this time. The family tells me we have to do this again. One last point Linda in your Australian office is very good also. Great holiday in central France
