Air cooling and air conditioning

When the temperatures soar, our cabin air cooling system can help make your night’s sleep a little more comfortable. Air cooling uses canal/river water to produce cool air which is blown out through vents.

Please note: This is not the same as air-conditioning which can achieve lower temperatures and has a thermostatic control. Performance significantly reduces if canal/river temperature is too high.

The customer service was excellent at the sales phase and slightly decreased after the transaction was completed. We asked a few follow up questions to the customer agent (like if Le Boat sell angling sets and whether we needed a license) and we never really heard back. Everything was great with the boat - only thing to improve was the cleanliness of the toilet and the navigation map.

The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the boats are high quality, well-engineered, and easy to operate. Quality facilities, and easy-to-operate.

The training for driving the boat left me with much confidence. The boat had everything we possibly could need for our trip, so well equipped. Amazing time for our whole family.

This was a great holiday in the midst of a pandemic. Service was very good and the cancelation policy extremely fair. Orientation with Le Boat staff was good. We had never operated a boat (kayaks don’t count) and so were total newbies. The boat itself, Horizon 1, was really comfortable and relatively easy to handle. Even though the weather was super hot, we were very comfortable with the boat’s cooling system and the extra fans were also a help. All good. Great trip. We were two people, so a tad expensive but for a family of four — a good dea.

From start to finish, LeBoat did everything correctly. The firm was professional, prompt, responsive and accurate. The vessel we chartered was the one promised and equipped as described, and everything functioned. Check in and out was rapid and painless. Charts and guidebooks were fine. Holding and water tanks were more than adequate for two. Navigation and locking was easy enough. In fact, the locks made excellent places to tie up for the night. Just had a great time. Everything was as advertised, and the company was there when or if needed. Will probably do the other half of the Rideau Canal (north to Ottawa) then one of LeBoat's European venues.

Overall service was comprehensive and welcoming. Answered all our questions and let us know what to do incase of problems while we were on the river. We liked the roominess of the boat and the full visibility from the cabin area. The facilities were comfortable and clean. The bed mattresses are firm, so if someone needs more cushioning, plan to bring an additional pad. A couple of the instruments didn't function, but after a day or so, instinct took over and we were able to pilot the boat safely. I never tried to pilot the boat from inside the cabin, but, luckily for us, the weather never required it.

The boat when we recived it was dirty on the outside and all the drains were blocked with leaves and other trash. the horizon boat is outstanding.
Thank you for providing us with your feedback on your trip. We are so glad to know you loved your destination and our Horizon model boats! Although, we are sorry that you were disappointed with the standard of cleanliness of your boat. In view of your comments, we have forwarded your feedback to our Base team and have asked them to watch more closely for falling leaves that might potentially clog the deck drainage.

Helpful staff who listened to and addressed our questions about the cruise route and particular places of interest to us. . Weather was wonderful which always helps. Relaxing because canals and rivers are quieter at this time of year. No queues in locks and plenty of mooring locations. One minor niggle is there are no swimming locations on this section of the canal and River Baise. Would have been wonderful to go for a dip to cool off.
